Check out the wealth of colors and hues Aston Martin offers.
Not-so-poor Manny Khoshbin recently found himself with just one day to spec “one of the first, if not the first,” Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider models for America. Aston Martin specced out three versions for him to help with the decision-making, but Khoshbin fired up his video camera and went to the showroom to make his own decisions.
If you're not aware of Manny Khoshbin, he's an Iranian immigrant that came to California as a child, and his family lived in a car. Khoshbin got his real estate license in 1994, then set about becoming a successful and wealthy businessman. If you're unaware of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, you're in for a treat.
Before we go on, let's just take a moment to respect the fact that Khoshbin is the kind of person that shows up to an Aston Martin dealership in a Rolls-Royce while wearing a Mercedes cap.
His first thought is to go with yellow; then his first serious thought is to go matte black with yellow detailing like his McLaren P1. Exposed carbon fiber is also an option, but an expensive one at “four to five hundred grand.” That's a lot of money until you put the base model cost of $4 to $5 million for a Valkyrie Spider.

However, Khoshbin is then presented with samples of specific Valkyrie paint colors and finds himself overwhelmed with choice, although he's attracted to chameleon pearlescent white, which changes color depending on light. Then, just in case he wasn't overwhelmed enough by choice, he's told by a representative about Aston Martin's Q department, which will fully customize cars with any color the customer can come up with.
We see how overwhelmed Khoshbin is by the seemingly endless choices, and we found ourselves wishing someone had told him to take his sunglasses off when looking at colors, particularly if they are polarized, as that increases saturation. The main takeaway is that if you're buying a multi-million dollar car, don't leave it until the last minute to make decisions on color.
What color did he choose? We don't know yet, but no doubt we'll find out in another video.
