PENANG: Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the exclusive distributor for Ford in Malaysia, today broke ground for its new Ford 3S Centre here.
With an investment of RM16.6mil, the new Ford 3S Centre is set to elevate the customer experience and strengthen prospects for the brand in the Northern region.
Spanning across 45,000sq ft, the 3S centre will be equipped with 18 service bays and space to display six vehicles.
Targeted for completion by the first quarter of 2024, the facility is located along Jalan Baru in Seberang Prai, providing easy accessibility.
Upon completion, customers will be able to experience state-of-the-art facilities at the new Ford 3S Centre, built from ground up in line with Ford’s global standards.
The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by SDAC managing director Turse Zuhair, SDAC head of Distribution Sales George Ngian and SDAC Penang dealer principal Peter Chan.
Turse said the 3 S centre is a significant milestone for the company.
“As a 3S centre offering end-to-end services, the facility will offer greater convenience and accessibility for Malaysians. This investment is a clear reflection of our commitment to meet the needs of the market, as we strive to raise the bar in elevating the customer experience,” he said.
Ford Asia Pacific Distributor Markets managing director DJ Simpson said the American auto brand was pleased to work together with partner Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford and would continue to expand its network in Malaysia with this latest facility.
“Penang is a key market with strong prospects for Ford and Sime Darby Auto ConneXion.
“By reinforcing our presence here, this will enable us to continue bringing our growing line-up of world-class vehicles and top-notch services to customers in the northern region,” said Simpson.
