Scania Malaysia is the only company in the heavy commercial vehicles industry in Malaysia to be accredited as a Centre of National Dual Training System / Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional (NDTS / SLDN) by the Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia. The MoU is for a partnership between Scania and IKTBNDT in which the NDTS, a method-based industry-driven training concept is operated through collaboration between the company and training institution.
The ‘dual’ system means students receive training in 2 learning situations. The NDTS Accredited Centre in Scania Malaysia will cover 70% to 80% of the practical training module (hands-on), and IKTBNDT academic learnings will cover 20% to 30% of theory (knowledge).
The MoU exchange was witnessed by YB Dato’ Seri Ahmad Faizal Dato’ Azumu, Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia and His Excellency Dr Joachim Bergstrőm, Swedish Ambassador to Malaysia.
