The 2022 Acura RDX five-seat crossover SUV costs $900 more than the 2021 RDX but the compact crossover comes with more standard tech, a quieter cabin, and retuned drive mode dynamics. On Monday, Acura announced pricing and a November 2 on-sale date for its most popular model.
The base 2022 RDX with front-wheel drive costs $40,345, including a $1,045 destination fee. That’s a $900 increase, but the Technology package and A-Spec increase by only $650. The 2022 RDX comes with a 272-hp, 2.0-liter turbo-4 and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Acura says the drive mode selector has been enhanced with a more distinct power assist in steering, braking, and sound control across the four modes of Normal, Comfort, Sport, and Snow. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive remains a $2,200 option, which is $200 more than last year.
All-wheel drive is standard on the $50,345 Advance Package and limited PMC Edition at the top of the lineup.
A select few 2022 Acura RDX models channel the NSX supercar, with a PMC Edition limited to 200 units and costing $55,295. With PMC, the car’s paint and assembly is handled by the same team responsible for the NSX supercar, and the RDX PMC comes with Long Beach Blue Pearl paint and Orchid Milano leather trim, same as on the 2022 NSX Type S.

For shoppers with no supercar fantasies for their crossover, the RDX comes with less cabin road noise thanks to new front fender liners and active noise cancellation. Acura lowered the engine’s cold idle speed, and enhancements to front-wheel-drive models smooth out engine vibrations. Subtle styling updates include a thinner chrome surround on the grille, larger front air intakes, and, in back, rectangular dual exhaust tips. The refresh is meant to follow the redesigned 2022 Acura MDX three-row crossover. New 19- and 20-inch wheel designs and exterior color combos complete the exterior tweaks on most trims.
Every 2022 RDX comes with aluminum trim, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto/Amazon Alexa, a USB-C charge port, heated front seats, and a 7.0-inch display gauge with a digital speedometer. Blind-spot monitors are now standard.
With the $42,995 Technology package, Acura added sound insulation, thicker carpeting, and acoustic glass. It gets 27-way ambient lighting, front and rear parking sensors, a rear camera washer, navigation, wireless smartphone charging, and leather-trimmed seats with contrast stitching.
The A-Spec costs $45,995 and has 20-inch wheels wrapped in lower profile Goodyear Eagle 255/45 R20 all-season tires, but it gets a tire sealer instead of a spare. Acura slaps on distinct front and rear bumpers, LED fog lights, and all the badging, as well as equipping the interior with a 16-speaker sound system, cooled front seats, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel,
The $50,345 Advance package with standard all-wheel drive gets even more sound insulation to what Acura calls the quietest RDX in history. That’s an $1,100 increase over a similarly equipped 2021 RDX Advance; that model is no longer offered with front-wheel drive. It comes with rain-sensing wipers, a 10.5-inch head-up display, 16-way power front seats, heated rear seats, power-folding side mirrors, and a 12-volt power outlet in the cargo area. Advance can be combined with the A-Spec upgrades for $52,345.
The 2022 RDX is built in Ohio.
