RDB LA claims this is the first Range Rover L460 to wear a widebody kit in the USA.
The Range Rover is a popular buy in America's wealthier regions, but because it's so popular, many customers turn to the aftermarket scene to create something like this, a brand new 'Rover' fitted with a widebody kit from 1016 Industries.
This monochrome creation is the work of RDB LA, a well-known custom shop in Los Angeles that specializes in customizing high-end vehicles like the Lamborghini Urus. Sitting on 26-inch RDB Zero Wheels that are color-matched to the Satin Pearl White exterior wrap, the SUV looks seriously impressive.
Almost all the exterior accents have been color matched, including the grille, faux side vents, lower bumper, and even the rear fascia, culminating in a clean look. The front grilles and wheels are painted, not wrapped. The side mirror caps have been finished in gloss black, along with the roof pillars, creating a cool, floating roof effect.
This particular Range Rover is claimed to be the first L460 model to wear a widebody kit in the United States.
While they often look great, many owners don't want to fit a body kit into their vehicles as the process can be rather invasive. Cutting into OEM body panels isn't great for resale, so many just opt against it. The great thing about 1016 Industries' kits, though, is that they actually fit onto the existing bodywork, meaning the accessories can be taken off at a later date with no worries.
RDB LA says it has tested those massive wheels (and the 30 profile tires) on the mean LA streets, and the car drives perfectly fine. Not much point in a Range Rover that can't float down the road, is there?

rdbla/Instagram rdbla/InstagramInterestingly, the Range Rover takes this big wheel setup in its stride better than most. Vik Tchalikian of RDB LA notes that even SUVs like the Rolls-Royce Cullinan struggle to adapt to 26-inch wheels and require plenty of work before they can function with larger alloys.
If you're wondering what this kit costs, 1016 Industries offers the wide body option for $28,500, although you can spend up to $40,000 on the forged carbon fiber finish. Should this come across as a touch brash for your tastes, a more affordable narrow body kit is also available with a starting price of $21,000.
Overall, we think this Range Rover looks rather good (certainly a lot better than some other tuned examples). What do you think of this all-white status symbol? Let us know in the comments below.
