Project Kahn returns to its roots.
Aftermarket tuning house Project Kahn has announced a new project called the Racing Green Fintail, and it has been produced to commemorate 20 years of the tuner's work on Range Rovers. The vehicle has been created to “embody the best of British engineering.” Although the differences are subtle, this latest take on a restyled Range Rover is clearly unique among those that came before.
The three-spoke wheels draw light inspiration from those on the 1995 Range Rover Princess Diana used to drive around, albeit with a lot more intricacy and a much larger diameter. These add a nice contrast to the otherwise demure color scheme.

At the front, a new valance has been added to the bumper, with this merging into the vented front bumper extensions as a means of subtly referencing Kahn's first-ever Range Rover build. Similarly, the side skirts flow backward, adding a fin at the rear wheel arches. These elements have been influenced by “ground effect racing machines of yesteryear and the stabilizing fins found on modern fighter jets.”
At the rear, the aggressive look continues with a bumper extension that includes a winged diffuser, but that's as far as the add-ons go. Kahn has wisely opted not to mess with the roof spoiler, nor has it added any unnecessary scoops or vents. It's still an overstyled kit, but it works for a vehicle as opulent as this.

Pricing and availability details are yet to be announced, and there is still more that Project Kahn plans to do with its new Racing Green brand, but we'll have to be patient to learn more.
However, with past projects asking five figures for the wheels alone, you can be sure that the conversion won't be cheap. Still, at least it's somewhat restrained, which is more than we can say for the gold-accented RR that Manhart built. We've also seen the luxury SUV fitted with a widebody kit from 1016 Industries and painted all-white. Again, good taste appears to be in short supply.
If nothing else, the Racing Green Fintail by Project Kahn shows that subtlety need not mean blandness.
