The inspiration for the Maserati Grecale emerges organically from the brand’s roots and its iconic character with it slotting in below the fashionable Levante. The Grecale aims to compete with the likes of Porsche Macan, Jaguar F-Pace and BMW X3, sitting below the larger Levante in the Italian marque’s line-up.

The new 2023 Grecale will be launched by the end of 2022 in three trim variants, The GT, Modena, and Trofeo. The Trofeo will be the top-tier performance-oriented Grecale variant, with a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 285 km/h. The engine is a twin-turbo 3,0-litre V6 with 390 kW of power and 620 N.m of peak torque between 3 000 – 5 500 r/min. The Trofeo is said to be heavily inspired by Formula One and is a development of the Nettuno engine found in the MC20. Maserati says it returns a combined fuel consumption of 11.2 l/100 Km.
