The release reflects Thailand’s importance as a sales market for Porsche
BANGKOK
Porsche celebrated three decades of passion in Thailand by launching a bespoke Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition.
These limited edition 911 Carrera GTS models will only be made in a ‘small number’, according to Porsche Asia Pacific, and each one can be ordered in any one of seven classic Paint to Sample (PTS) colours that honour each day of the week in Thai culture:
- Monday (Yellow) – Signal yellow
- Tuesday (Pink) – Ruby star
- Wednesday (Green) – Signal green
- Thursday (Orange) – Pastel orange
- Friday (Blue) – Riviera blue
- Saturday (Purple) – Ultraviolet
- Sunday (Red) – Fire red
The centre lock wheels on the 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition are finished in a two-tone black/exterior colour that matches the body colour. The brake callipers are also finished in black, but a splash of colour is provided by the Porsche crest on coloured wheel centre caps at all four corners.
The rear decklid of the car features five slats on the driver’s side that are painted in the Thai flag’s primary colours of red, white, and blue. Lastly, a more understated and modern “911” logo replaces the conventional model label trim.
In the passenger and centre consoles, the interior trim is done in the same exterior colour as the external trim. The premium black leather inside features accents like Pebble Grey seat piping, Black corduroy seat inlays, and contrast stitching. An anniversary logo is also sewn into each headrest.
“The values that make up the Porsche DNA – pioneering spirit through heritage and innovation in perfect harmony – are thoroughly aligned with the values of Thai people, honouring their rich history but at the cutting edge of modern technology. With this Porsche 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition, we pay tribute to this amazing country that has been so welcoming to our brand, and that keeps inspiring us with its vibrant culture and people that are truly driven by their dreams,” said Mr Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific.
