Porsche AG finished the 2022 financial year with four new records
STUTTGART, GERMANY
Porsche AG has released its group sales revenue for 2022 amounting to €37.6 billion(S$54,1b), corresponding to a growth of 13.6 per cent.
The Group’s operating profit was 6.8 billion euros, up 1.5 billion euros from the previous year (an increase of 27.4 per cent). In 2022, Group Deliveries and Automotive Net Cash Flow both set new all-time highs. The Group’s operational return on sales increased from 16.0 per cent to 18.0 per cent. This year, the Stuttgart sports car maker is advancing its modern luxury strategy and has launched its ambitious Road to 20 initiative to achieve its long-term profit target.
“In difficult conditions, we achieved the strongest result in the history of Porsche, by some distance. We were also able to offer our customers exciting new products yet again in 2022. This is the result of a great team performance”, said Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board, of Porsche AG.
Notwithstanding the consequences of the Ukrainian war, the coronavirus epidemic, and worldwide supply chain interruptions, Porsche AG had well-filled order books and was able to deliver 309,884 vehicles to customers in the preceding year. This is a 2.6 per cent increase over the previous year (301,915 vehicles). Automotive net cash flow grew from 3.7 billion euros to 3.9 billion euros in the fiscal year 2022.
“Our success factors are improved price positioning, the strong product mix, the increase in vehicle sales, exchange rate effects, and our strict cost discipline,” says Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman and Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT.
