Reasons why I bought this car
After my great experience with Prius C, I think I need Prius for better power, comfort and space. I bought the Prius from Top Mark (3 years old), so Toyota Malaysia provide 1 year warranty on the car.
Car Selection Process
Budget – 100k
Model consider – nope, only this Prius
Hybrid during that time, brand new Prius is out of my reach, hybrids are jokes, /Mercedes hybrid are even a dream too far away.
User experience
Already done 130000km.
My average fuel consumption is 20L/km
Prius is very powerful, as long as the driver willing to floor the gas pedal. 1.8 with battery boost is 2.4 equivalent. It is much bigger than Prius C for carrying big items. However, it is noisy and bumpy compared to Prius C (strange). The leather seats, are not as comfort as fabric since this car has no ventilation (but heated seat lol). Prius trade bigger space with worse fuel consumption.

Summary :
I will never go wrong with Toyota hybrids. With US IIHS Safety pick + 2012 and Japan CBU units, it is very reliable that I can pass it to my kid also. the dashboard is high tech, the front light also high tech, cars mostly will give way automatically on the highway. With this car, fuel price goes up to RM3 also i won’t feel a thing.
Interesting event to share
Because the 4th gen Prius was never brought into Malaysia market, this model (3rd gen) basically will never expired. Do the Prii on the road ever give you an impression it is a 9 years old car?
