The truck in question was halted on Highway 427 near Rexdale and two SUVs, a Jeep Cherokee and a Land Rover Range Rover, were recovered from the intermodal container it was hauling. Police have charged the driver with two counts of possession of stolen property, but there’s a chance, as one commenter points out, that the professional was unaware of exactly what kind of cargo they had in tow.
driver likely has no idea whats in the container

There is no license plate visible on the back of the black Cherokee, but another commenter claimed to have recognized the SUV as belonging to his father.
That’s my dad’s truck!!! Stolen yesterday morning. WTF!!?

Neither the Jeep Cherokee nor the Range Rover appears on the list of the most stolen vehicles in Ontario in 2021, but regardless of make and model, Toronto-area police have been kept busy with stolen-vehicle calls. Worse yet, Ontarians have experienced a spate of carjackings this year.
Most notably, Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner had his black Range Rover taken from him at gunpoint in May. Could this recently recovered Rover be the very one taken from the NHL player? Probably not, but somebody is going to be happy to be getting their ride back.
