The Vaughan Auto Mall will be the home to Ontario's first Cadillac dealer
Vaughan, ON – Amidst the hustle and bustle around the sprawling Vaughan Auto Park, Cadillac made a step towards maintaining exclusivity over its sister GM brands with a ground breaking ceremony for Ontario’s first Cadillac-only dealership.
Looking around, you can’t help but notice this auto mall contains some of the highest-end names in business like Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche, and BMW. Across the street sits the only McLaren dealer in the province, and now Cadillac will take its place as the newest premium brand amongst this rarefied group.
Kicking off this momentous occasion was Sam Alaimo, Managing Partner and President of Roy Foss Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac Woodbridge, one of the largest volume GM dealers in the country. Sam is responsible for managing the construction of this pioneering Cadillac store in Woodbridge.
“This is a surreal moment for me, it is a day that I’ve been waiting for, for a long time; it is a day that our team has been waiting for, for a long time; and I know it is a day that the community has been waiting for, for a long time,” remarked Sam
Also joining Sam was Karen Foss, CEO of Foss Automotive Group (that owns both Woodbridge and Thornhill locations), and the Mayor of Vaughan, Maurizio Bevilacqua.
Karen spoke proudly of the achievements made by her father almost 50 years ago with their first dealership in Thornhill that is still there today and continues to be one of GM’s most successful franchises in the country.
Designed by the world-renowned architectural firm Gensler, this new 7000 sq-ft facility in Vaughan will, according to Karen, set a new benchmark for the Cadillac experience, and its appointments and finishes will also set a new standard for automotive retailing.
A service and sales concierge and a premium indoor delivery area will also be offered to complete that upscale experience.
The geometric structure in multiple hues of grey sitting on large glass windows looks modern and sleek as represented by the renderings.
This is a step in the right direction for Cadillac if they want to remain relevant in a premium market that is extremely competitive and one where loyalties run deep.
Cadillac has a slew of brand new products coming out in the very near future beginning this fall with the XT4, a new premium mid-size SUV, and the introduction of their new twin-turbo V8 that will see duty in the upcoming Cadillac CT6 V-sport.
Worth waiting for and sorely needed, this boosted V8 will generate a tarmac twisting 627 lb-ft in its top trim and inject some gusto into their flagship. The new V-Sport CT6 will be delivered to customers in the spring of 2019 about the same time this new Cadillac-exclusive dealership is expected to open its doors.
