To pay homage to one of the company’s most phenomenal cars, unveiled the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 in Japan. The car is limited to only 112 units worldwide and deliveries to its Japanese customers have already started.
As mentioned, the Countach LPI 800-4 pays homage to the original Countach which, according to Lamborghini, is a non-conformist icon of revolutionary design and technology that celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.
The LPI 800-4 is not a replica or a version of the original Countach made better, instead, it represents the idea of what could have been the evolution of the iconic Countach of the ‘70s and ‘80s into an exclusive and contemporary super sports car model.
Lamborghini designers have made sure that the LPI 800-4 retains the inimitable experience and sound of the V12 rear mid-engine (LP – longitudinale posteriore), incorporating the hybrid technology (I) developed for the Sian.
The LPI 800-4’s all-wheel-drive V12 delivers 780 PS, combined with the 34 PS from the electric motor, the car is capable of 814 PS. This is where the model gets its name as Lamborghini decided to round the number down to 800.
Lamborghini is proud to say that the LPI 800-4 is capable of making the century sprint in just 2.8 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 8.6 seconds, and a top speed of 355 km/h.

Why was the Countach LPI 800-4 launched in Japan though? That’s because the original Countach has had a massive following in the country since the ‘70s.
The original car was so popular amongst Japanese car enthusiasts that in 2004 it was immortalised into a popular Japanese Manga also named Countach.
