The all-electric Nikola Tre BEV will be seen for the first time in the UK on the IVECO stand at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show.
The Nikola Tre BEV 4×2 has a 738kWh battery pack – consisting of nine modular 82kWh batteries – which powers its unique FPT Industrial e-Axle, producing 645 HP and 1,800Nm of instant torque.
The vehicle is capable of rapid charging at 350kW, achieving 10-90% battery capacity in just 100 minutes, and a full charge gives this truck a range of up to 330 miles.
Gareth Lumsdaine – Truck Business Line Director said: “The Nikola Tre BEV represents an impressive means for fleets to begin their decarbonisation journey. Its ultrarapid charging abilities enable this truck to spend more time on the road and less time charging.”
Michael Lohscheller, President, Nikola Corporation said: “Specifically developed as electric vehicles, Nikolas deliver performance and a driving experience that can compete with their diesel-powered peers in the toughest heavy-duty missions. They offer operationally and financially viable zero-emission solutions for regional applications and long-distance hauling capabilities that will give customers a real competitive advantage.”
The Nikola Tre BEV is making its UK debut alongside the IVECO eDaily. This class-leading eLCV is capable of towing an unrivalled 3.5-tonnes, features a class-leading payload and turning circle, as well as powerful 15kW ePTO onboard power.
