Come 1-June and will debut the all-new 2023 (X254). The Stuttgart-based manufacturer has dropped a teaser of its upcoming compact luxury crossover.
Mercedes-Benz will livestream the debut of the all-new 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC on various platforms, including YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
The outgoing X253 generation Mercedes-Benz GLC is the company’s most important volume seller, contributing 20 percent to Mercedes-Benz’s global sales (as of Q1 2022). So, it comes as no surprise that the brand-new model has a lot riding on it.
Thus far, Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the new 2023 GLC will get passive rear-wheel steering like the W206 C-Class, Airmatic suspension (market dependent), mild-hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine options, enhanced ADAS suite, next-generation MBUX infotainment system featuring ultrawide 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 11.9-inch central display, as well as an augmented reality display.
When will the 2023 Mercedes-Benz arrive in Malaysia?
While Mercedes-Benz will debut the model early next month, right-hand drive versions aren’t expected to reach markets until end-2022. Add another 6 months lead time for local-assembly preparation work.
For context, it took 11 months between the debut of the W206 C-Class’ European market debut (March 2021) to its introduction in Malaysia (February 2022). The extra time was partly due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Thus, the brand-new X254 Mercedes-Benz GLC isn’t expected to be launched here until mid-2023.
