New Range Rover SV – Ultimate luxury and 390kW

Land Rover has unveiled its top-of-the-line flagship SUV – the Range Rover SV.

SV – short for Special Vehicle Operations – is the luxury arm of Range Rover and builds the brand’s most prestigious vehicles.

The new Range Rover SV will be the first vehicle to bear the ceramic SV badge, which “represents the distillation of Special Vehicle Operations’ design and engineering passion for modern luxury, performance, and capability,” said the company.

The SV will be available in both standard and long-wheelbase body styles, with two design packages on offer.

Design

The Range Rover SV is differentiated through targeted enhancements, such as an exclusive front bumper and five-bar grille, as well as metal-plated finishes on the lower tailgate, rear wing ingot, and body-side graphic.

SV customers can then choose from one of 14 exterior colours provided by the SV Bespoke Premium Palette, none of which are available on the standard Range Rover.

“For the ultimate in exterior tailoring, the SV Bespoke Match to Sample service is able to replicate any colour a customer requests,” said Land Rover.

Inside, the ceramic from the exterior badging carries over to the gear shifter, while deep-pile mohair carpets and a variety of leather upholsteries are included as standard.

For the first time, leather alternatives are available on the Range Rover, too, in the form of sustainable “Ultrafabrics” materials.

“Special Vehicle Operations’ craftsmanship extends to the interior veneers. Smooth white ceramics feature an embossed mosaic pattern applied by hand, while anodised metal and expertly selected woods, including meticulously arranged mosaic marquetry or seamless metal inlays, are also offered,” said the company.

All Range Rover SV models come with a 13.7-inch configurable instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch curved display with smartphone mirroring, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and navigation.

An upgraded 13.1-inch rear-seat infotainment system is included, too, with high-fidelity headphones.

Themes

As standard, the Range Rover SV features a body-coloured roof, monotone interior, white gloss ceramic finishes, and metal-plated Atlas Silver exterior detailing.

Two interior design packages – SV Serenity or SV Intrepid – can then be optioned for the buyer who wants a more unique look.

SV Serenity sees the Silver Atlas exterior finishes complemented by Corinthian Bronze surrounds, 23-inch alloy wheels in dark grey, and the interior covered in a two-tone Perlino/Liberty Blue, Sequoia Green, or Caraway colourway.

Customers can also choose a Corinthian Bronze two-tone roof.

SV Intrepid brings dark metal-plated finishes with Graphite Atlas surrounds, 23-inch dark grey directional alloys, and a full Ebony leather or two-tone interior.

This package also makes available a two-tone Narvik Black roof and red brake calipers as an optional extra.

“SV Serenity and SV Intrepid themes can be specified for the exterior, interior, or both areas, alongside the standard Range Rover SV exterior or interior, giving seven different design theme combinations for customers to choose from,” said Land Rover.

SV Signature Suite

Both body styles of the new Range Rover SV are fitted with the Executive Class Comfort Plus seating layout, while a SV Signature Suite four-seater option is available on the long-wheelbase models, too.

This option sees two individual chairs installed in place of a three-seat rear bench, with an electronically-powered table with deployable cupholders taking the place of the centre seat.

“Its cosseting seats with Range Rover SV-specific contours feature 24-way adjustment with massage functionality while an elegant electrically deployable table rises theatrically from the fixed full-length centre console on beautifully engineered supports to provide a convenient workspace when required,” said Land Rover.
