- New Bentley Mulliner project incoming
- Design to preview Bentley’s future EVs
- Coming to Monterey Car Week 2022
Bentley has given us (scant) first details of its next Mulliner project: the Batur. The new car, which is a successor to the convertible Bacalar model revealed a few years ago, will make its debut during 2022’s Monterey Car Week later in August.
The new Bentley Mulliner Batur, according to Crewe, will show off the brand’s new design language for its future battery-electric cars, with the first one expected to arrive in 2025.
Expect to see elements of the EXP 100 GT concept Bentley unveiled back in 2019 in the new Batur’s design, much like the Bacalar. The shadowy single image we’ve been given so far shows off the Bentley wings above the new car’s grille.
Bentley says the name comes from a body of water, much like Bacalar (which is named after Bacalar lagoon in Mexico). The new car’s moniker is derived from Lake Batur in Bali.
Other than that, there’s not much to go on. But, given it’s a product of Mulliner, expect an enormous price tag for the limited number we assume Bentley will build, and proper craftsmanship.
We’ll update this when we know more.
