SEPANG: NAZA Premira, the sole distributor of Aprilia in Malaysia, has introduced two new dynamic two-wheeled machines – the RSV4 RF Limited Edition and the Tuono V4 1100 Factory, while priced with GST at RM138,800 and RM118,800 respectively.
The Italian bikes use the same engine – a 65-degree V4, but have different characteristics with the 999.6cc RSV4 pushing out 201hp at 13,000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 10,500rpm, while the 1,077cc Tuono is graced with 175hp at 11,000rpm and 121Nm of torque at 9,000rpm.
The RSV4 would be the most unique of the pair, being limited to only 500 numbered units worldwide, and it’s been tuned to leave a lasting impression out on the track, while the naked Tuono does it on the streets.
The RSV4 gets a completely new front nose with a more protective fairing that’s been honed in the wind tunnel and an engine tune-up producing 16hp more, while weighing 2.5kg less than its predecessor.
Furthermore, it keeps its suite of Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC package) software, which includes traction control (eight-way adjustable), wheelie control, launch control, race-tuned ABS as well as a quick shifter.
As for the Tuono, it’s 1.5kg lighter and allows for rider’s smartphone connectivity via the V4-MP platform, while being equipped with Ohlins suspension, forks and steering dampers as well as LED lights.
Furthermore, its been made more comfortable with its newly-designed foam saddle, a 15mm-lower seating position, and revamped handlebars for better ergonomics for those looking to spend more time on the bike.
“With the launch of these two successful models, we are bringing Aprilia’s racing DNA, spirit and tenacity to the road,” said NAZA World Group of Companies group executive chairman and group CEO Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin.
Both bikes have a two-year or 20,000km warranty (whichever comes first).
