Mitsubishi Australia has announced updates to its 2023 range of non-hybrid Mitsubishi Outlanders, with pricing up between $250 to $1000 depending on the variant.
Pricing now starts from $36,240 before on-road costs for the entry-level, two-wheel drive ES. The flagship Exceed Tourer with all-wheel drive is now $1000 more expensive, starting from $53,490 before on-road costs.
Mitsubishi says that MY23 production of its midsize Outlander began in November, with first Australian arrivals to take place in January 2023.
The new Mitsubishi Outlander LS Black Edition
The Outlander in non-hybrid guise continues to be powered by a 2.5-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 135kW of power and 245Nm of torque.
The Mitsubishi Outlander competes in Australia’s popular midsize vehicle segment alongside rivals such as the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson and the Mazda CX-5.
What’s new for Outlander in 2023?
LS Black Edition gains black trim inside and out
Mitsubishi has added extra safety technologies to the Outlander for 2023, with reversing AEB and auto hold functions now standard across the range.
For the base ES Outlander, rear cross traffic alert and auto high beam will be standard for the first time. The ES will also move to a smaller 8.0-inch touchscreen with tethered Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – the previous 9.0-inch interface with wireless Apple CarPlay has been removed due to parts supply issues.
For higher-specification Exceed and Exceed Tourer models, both gain Mitsubishi’s Mi-Pilot advanced safety system that incorporates adaptive cruise control with active lane-keep assist.
The Mitsubishi Outlander is available in five and seven seat layouts
Also featured with Mitsubishi’s Mi-Pilot safety suite is traffic jam assist (adaptive cruise) and speed limit assist with traffic sign recognition.
The Exceed and Exceed Tourer grades include a new heated steering wheel and sequential front indicators. The top-spec Exceed Tourer model now includes standard rear seat heating.
The new LS Black Edition
The LS black edition is based on the LS seven seat variant and features a black exterior and interior pack. Mitsubishi has blacked out the 20-inch alloy wheels, door mirrors, lower front bumper, grille, rear lower bumper and B and C pillar garnishes of the Outlander LS.
The 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander
On the inside, the black edition includes blacked-out front pillar trims, headlining, gearshift panel and suede upholstery with leather bolsters.
The two-wheel drive LS black edition is priced at $41,490 before on-road costs, a premium of $1750 over a standard LS 2WD.
