Mazda Australia says that there is good supply of BT-50s inbound, and if you order now, you may even get your ute before Christmas

Mazda Australia has announced that a variety of its models, including the BT-50 ute, are in good supply after key production bottlenecks were overcome.

The Japanese brand says that if ordered now, a customer could likely receive their new BT-50 ute before Christmas.

For those who want to order a Mazda BT-50 in the new year, Mazda says that customers “can be confident that vehicle availability will continue to remain high across these models” thanks to the recent improvements in supply.

The models with good supply include Mazda 2 small car, Mazda 6 sedan/wagon, CX-3 small SUV, CX-5 midsize SUV as well as the CX-8 and CX-9 large SUVs.

Mazda BT-50 range explained

The Mazda BT-50 is available in an array of variants, from 4×2 to 4×4. Four-wheel drive models are available in six variant levels: XS, XT, XTR, GT, SP and Thunder.

Pricing for a 4×4 dual-cab automatic begins from $51,510 before on-road costs for the XS grade and finishes at the top of the range Thunder 4×4 dual-cab priced at $71,290 before on-road costs.

There are many variants of BT-50 ute to choose from

A variety of rear-wheel drive work utes are also available, starting from $33,950 for a SX 4×2 cab chassis model.

Mazda says the best course of action for interested buyers to contact their local Mazda dealership to find out exact timings for future BT-50 deliveries.

Mazda working its way around key supply bottlenecks

Mazda Australia’s senior manager of PR Amy O’Brien told Chasing Cars the brand has recently overcome key supply bottlenecks that had hampered supply.

Mazda has worked hard to improve supply with its vehicles

“As a priority market for Mazda Corporation globally, we have always received good supply to meet customer demand,” she said.

“With solutions in place to overcome issues like parts shortages, supply has been recovered across key model lines, and this has helped Mazda Australia secure stock at almost pre-pandemic levels.”

What sort of standard features will I get with a BT-50?

BT-50s sold in Australia range from basic work-oriented work utes right up to full-fruit dual-cab pickups such as the SP and Thunder variants. However, standard BT-50 features include a 7.0-inch touchscreen, wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, USB charging ports and a well-specced safety suite as standard including:
