Maruti Suzuki has been on a roll with back-to-back launches in India and the automaker has aggressively upped its game to further extend its lead the in passenger vehicle sector in India.
Wagon R (22,588 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R continues to be the best-selling car in India as the Indo-Japanese automaker managed to sell 22,588 units in July 2022. This has resulted in a 17 per cent increase in MoM sales. However, YoY sales figures have declined by 1 per cent.
Baleno (17,960 units)
The latest update has definitely made a change in the sales as the YoY sales figures are up by almost 22 per cent. The total sales for the Baleno hatchback in July 2022 stands at 17,960 units as well. On the other hand, the MoM sales figures also improved by more than 11 per cent.
Swift (17,539 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Swift hatchback continues to be a strong performer for the Indo-Japanese automaker as the company managed to sell 17,539 units in July 2022. That being said, YoY sales declined by almost 5 per cent, however, MoM sales improved by 8 per cent.
Dzire (13,747 units)
Like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire is also a very consistent performer and one of the best-selling sedans in the country. In July 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 13,747 units of Dzire sedans in India, resulting in a 31 per cent increase in YoY sales figures. Moreover, MoM sales also improved by 9 per cent.
Eeco (13,048 units)
Despite the utilitarian nature, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco continues to be a good seller for the Indo-Japanese automaker. Sales figures in July 2022 stands at 13,048 units with a 30 per cent YoY sales increase. Moreover, MoM sales also increased by almost 29 per cent.
S-Presso (11,267 units)
Surprisingly, the MoM sales figures of the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso shot up from 652 units in June 2022 to 11,267 units in July 2022. Moreover, YoY sales figures for the S-Presso also improved by more than 65 per cent.

Brezza (9,709 units)
Despite the latest update, the YoY sales figure for the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is down by 23 per cent as the company managed to sell just 9,709 units in July 2022. Moreover, MoM sales improved by 120 per cent.
Ertiga (9,694 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV continues to be the best-selling 7-seater passenger vehicle in India as the company managed to sell 9,694 units in July 2022. However, YoY sales fell by almost 28 per cent and MoM sales fell by a reasonable 7 per cent.
Alto (9,065 units)
Thanks to the news of Maruti Suzuki introducing the new Alto K10 in India, the MoM sales for the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 fell by 34 per cent as the company managed to sell just 9,065 units. Moreover, YoY sales figures also fell by almost 30 per cent.
Celerio (6,854 units)
The latest update has definitely helped the Celerio hatchback improve its sales as the company managed to sell 6,854 units in July 2022. In comparison, the company managed to sell just 2 units of Celerio hatchback in July 2021. Moreover, MoM sales also decreased by 21 per cent.
Ignis (6,130 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is a decent selling model in its segment. However, the model is just an average seller by the high standards set by the Indo-Japanese automaker. In July 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 6,130 units and the YoY sales figures improved by more than 61 per cent.
XL6 (3,870 units)
The Maruti Suzuki XL6 is the premium iteration of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV. However, unlike the Ertiga, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 is a 6-seater with captain seats in the middle row. In July 2022, Maruti Suzuki sold 3,870 units of XL6 MPVs resulting in an almost 8 per cent drop in YoY sales.
Ciaz (1,379 units)
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is a very spacious sedan and is well known for its rear seat space and fuel-efficient powertrain. However, the sedan is currently the least-selling model in the company’s lineup as the company managed to sell 1,379 units in July 2022. Moreover, YoY and MoM sales have also been on the decline.

The Maruti Suzuki continues to dominate the Indian passenger vehicle segment and the new launches have definitely helped the automaker to further extend the lead by a significant margin. We expect the upcoming festive season to further boost sales.
