Please slow down & drive safe
A Manitoba driver became the recipient of some first rate instant karma this week, after receiving a speeding ticket from a local RCMP traffic officer.
The officer’s on-board camera caught video of the very dirty crossover at the side of the road, when the driver’s hand appears outside the window, with the ticket wafting in the breeze. Quickly, the paper is released and flies away.
Not one to accept that sort of insolence, the officer dutifully then handed the driver another ticket, this time for littering. Under Manitoba’s Highway Traffic Act, that charge carries a $174 fine.
Sharing the video in a tweet, the RCMP politely reminds drivers to slow down and drive safe!
DYK? If you throw your speeding ticket out the window, you can also be fined an additional $174 for littering under the Highway Traffic Act? Please slow down & drive safe. If you have questions about your ticket, please speak to the officer. #rcmpmb #TrafficTues #noexcuses pic.twitter.com/z8HM192Fm8
