In addition to this, the model received a minor facelift to make the model a bit more contemporary as it was launched way back in 2019.
As we already know that the sub-4m segment is one of the most competitive segments in the country and Mahindra has updated the top-end W8 variant of the 2022 iteration of the Mahindra XUV300.
However, with the new update, Mahindra has reduced the size of the alloy wheels offered with the top-end W8 and W8(O) trim levels of the Mahindra XUV300 SUV. This means the top-end W8 variant of the 2022 iteration of the Mahindra XUV300 will not be equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels that were previously offered with top-end variants of the model.
In addition to reducing the size of the alloy wheels, the width of the tyres has been also reduced from 215mm to 205mm. However, these changes may positively impact the fuel economy of the sub-4m SUV.
In terms of features, the Mahindra XUV300 still comes equipped with features such as a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rain-sensing wipers, auto AC, an electric sunroof, connected car tech, and much more.
Despite its compact dimension, the Mahindra XUV300 comes with well safety systems such as 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, Traction Control (TC), corner braking control, and front and rear parking sensors.
The Mahindra XUV300 is powered by two engine options. The petrol unit is a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine with 109bhp of peak power and 200Nm of peak torque, whereas the diesel unit is a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with 115bhp of peak power and 300Nm of peak torque.
Both these engines can be specified either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.
Thoughts About Mahindra XUV300 Price Hike
Though Mahindra XUV300 slowly gained traction in the Indian automobile market. Now, the sub-4m SUV is among the best selling SUVs in India. Given the price hike, it is highly unlikely to affect the overall sales performance of the SUV.
