As we reported earlier last week, vehicles across major segments will likely get more expensive in the coming weeks. Vehicles including passenger vehicles, small cars, sports utility vehicles, sedans, and two-wheelers will get costlier. This is to accommodate all of the surging material costs.
Mahindra has hopped on this increment train and has increased the prices for its entire range of SUVs in April 2022 by 2.5 percent. Citing rising input costs as the reason, Mahindra hiked its prices this week. This is the second price hike by Mahindra in the last three months.
Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Thar, and Mahindra XUV300 are the ones that see a significant surge in prices.
The XUV700 got a price jump this week again, after getting bumped in January of this year. For the petrol-powered variants, the hike lies in the range of Rs 22,449 to Rs 71,225, while the hike for the diesel-powered versions ranges from Rs 22,117 to Rs 78,308.
The Mahindra Thar variants too, see a surge in their prices. The petrol variants see an increase between Rs 35,000 and Rs 44,000, and the diesel ones’ prices have been hiked in the range of Rs 44,000-51,000,
As for the XUV300, the prices of the sub-compact SUV have also been hiked. The petrol variants see an increase of Rs 25,000-36,000, and the diesel variants’ price hike ranges between Rs 30,000-40,000.
