Harley-Davidson has completed the announced IPO of its electric motorbike brand LiveWire via a SPAC merger with the exchange shell AEA-Bridges Impact Corporation (ABIC). In addition, the second series model Del Mar can be reserved again.
LiveWire shares have been trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) since 27 September under the symbols LVWR and LVWR WS, respectively. According to a statement, this makes the company the first US e-motorcycle manufacturer to be listed on the NYSE. Harley-Davidson had already announced LiveWire’s plans to go public in December 2021.
The merger of the two companies was officially approved beforehand – at an extraordinary general meeting of ABIC shareholders on 16 September 2022. Once this process is complete, the new public company will trade as LiveWire Group.

With the listing announcement, LiveWire has also reopened reservations in the US for its second production model, the Del Mar. “In celebration of our listing today, we are pleased to open reservations for the production version of the S2 Del Mar for the US market,” Zeitz shares. A Launch Edition limited to 100 units sold out after only a few minutes in May.
The LiveWire Del Mar is based on the new S2 Arrow platform and has an output of 60 kW. The city range is given as 100 miles (160 kilometres). The Del Mar is apparently only charged via AC. The charger is designed for charging according to Level 1 (120-volt socket) and Level 2 (220 to 240 volts). Level 3, as charging with direct current is called in the USA, is probably not possible.
