The sound matches the looks.
If Paganis are known for one thing, it’s grabbing attention. They’re some of the most eye-catching cars on the road, with exaggerated proportions and unique bodywork. But looks aren’t the only reason why people love Paganis. There’s also the sound.
Pagani has always used AMG-sourced V-12s, and its newest offering, the Utopia, is no different. It’s a twin-turbo unit displacing 6.0 liters while making 864 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque. It sounds glorious.
NM225 on YouTube was on the scene at a race track in Italy and caught this Utopia before it left the area. In addition to a few revs, we’re treated to a handful of close-up shots of the car’s stunning exterior details. The car is expected to cost over $2 million, and from this video it’s easy to see why.
The engine isn’t the only spectacular bit of powertrain for the Utopia. For the first time since the Zonda ended production, buyers will have the opportunity to option a manual transmission, something that Horacio Pagani says 70 percent of his customers were asking for. Of course, you have to be one of the 99 people who’ve already secured an allocation to have any hope of getting behind the wheel.
