Unlike some other tuners, Liberty Walk will be showing what this build can do on the track.
Liberty Walk founder Kato Wataru has provided some updates on the tuning firm's widebody Lamborghini Murcielago, most notably revealing that it will be turbocharged in a big way and produce 1,500 horsepower. In addition, the completed build will debut at a drift event in Japan on July 16, where Kato has promised to do his best to entertain with a big slide or two. This won't be a static display; it's going to terrorize its tires as much as possible.
We got an idea of what the finished product would look like earlier this year when Liberty Walk showed its first digital renders, but now there's a blue-and-black livery to ogle.

There's more than a hint of Lamborghini Revuelto in the sharpness of the design, but it's clearly its own thing too. In fact, this might be the wildest Murcielago we've ever seen, especially in what appears to be a matte finish for the livery. The nose with its vented hood reminds us of the Huracan STO, while the roof scoop is clearly motorsport-inspired, as is the rear fin that gives us Le Mans vibes.
As for the powertrain, Liberty Walk has not revealed what size the turbo is or what other upgrades have been made, but we suspect this particular Murcielago is now exclusively rear-wheel drive.

From the images, we can see dual coil springs for each rear wheel, while a V-mounted radiator and intercooler setup will help manage temps while this thing is ripping sideways. The hubs have also been extended with spacers for a wider track, and the wastegate dump tube extends vertically, meaning we may see flames popping out of the rear decklid when this thing is at full tilt.
Hopefully, the build has no hiccups. Whatever you think of the styling, there's no doubt that a 1,500-hp supercar with smoking tires and a flaming exhaust is cool on at least some level. If you agree, maybe you won't hate what the tuner did to a Ferrari F40.
