Lexus Canada has announced Canadian pricing for its all-new 2023 RX, which will start at $58,650 and go up to $85,600 when it goes on sale later this year.
The RX was introduced in 1998 and is now in its fifth generation. This one will come with three powertrains, two of them hybrid, with the previous RX 450h hybrid now replaced by the new RX 350h and first-ever 500h. All will come standard with all-wheel drive (AWD). All models will be built at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing facility in Cambridge, Ontario.
The RX 350 will come in Premium, Luxury, Ultra Luxury and Executive trims, ranging from $58,650 to $74,150. Three models with F Sport packages are also available, starting at $63,250.
The RX350h will also come in Premium, Luxury, Ultra Luxury and Executive, from $60,150 to $75,650. The RX 500h will come as the F Sport Performance 2, starting at $79,800; and the F Sport Performance 3 at $85,600.

For the first time, the RX rides on the Toyota/Lexus Global Architecture-K, with a lower centre of gravity and more body rigidity, and additional passenger and cargo space. The RX also now receives Lexus Interface, a multimedia and connectivity system with “voice-first approach” for navigation, media, communication and other features.
The RX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder engine, making 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is rated at 9.9 L/100 in combined city/highway driving.
The RX 350h uses a 2.5L four-cylinder engine with self-charging Lexus Hybrid Drive system. The engine and electric motor working together produce a net 246 horsepower and up to 233 lb-ft of torque, and use an automatic continuously-variable transmission (CVT). Fuel consumption is rated at 6.5 L/100 km combined.
The new RX 500h carries a new hybrid system that uses a turbocharged 2.4L four-cylinder engine with electric motor and six-speed automatic transmission, producing a net 366 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, and fuel consumption of 8.6 L/100 km combined. An “eAxle” rear unit combines a high-output electric motor, inverter and reduction gearbox, for maximum traction and acceleration in all driving situations.
The RX 500h and some RX 350 models will include F Sport packages, with adaptive variable suspension and unique styling cues. All models will include a suite of active driver-assist safety technologies, including emergency front braking with pedestrian detection, and intersection support that detects and brakes for oncoming vehicles on a turn, including motorcycles. All have a towing capacity of 3,500 lbs.
