Lamborghini’s stable gains another Raging Bull, and unlike its road-going siblings, this Hurcan offshoot takes the firm’s pedigree off-road. Introducing the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato.

Bearing the badge of one of the most prolific titles in Lamborghini’s fleet, the Sterrato (meaning “dirt road” in Italian) is an extreme reinterpretation of the brand’s identity.
This gravel-road grunt is powered by a 5,2-litre V10 affording all-wheel-drive drivetrain with 449 kW available at 8000 r/min, complimented by max torque output of 565 N.m at 6500 r/min. This 10-cylinder heart of the Sterrato is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and allows the Bull a 0 to 100 km/h sprint time of 3,4 seconds (only 0.5 seconds slower than its road-going sibling, the Huracan EVO).
The Sterrato’s drivetrain components are housed in a hybrid chassis composed of an amalgamation of aluminium and carbon fibre. In typical rally-car fashion, this all-terrain raging is outfitted with independent double-wishbone suspension affording the Sterrato an increase in ground clearance of 44mm compared to the Huracan EVO. The Sterrato is also wider than the typical Huracan with bodywork add ons.

Other supporting elements introduced for the Sterrato’s off-road inclined design include large vented brake discs and six-piston callipers in front with four-piston callipers at the rear all housed in reinforced multi-spoke wheels. Wrapped around the Sterrato’s aggressive wheels are specially designed Bridgestone tyres. These quirky tyres utilise run-flat technology so efficiently that drivers can reach speeds of up to 80 km/h with no tyre pressure. Additional toughen-up bits range from an aluminium underbody protector to reinforced door sills.
“The feeling I get when driving this car is in some ways similar to when I strongly connect with a remarkable piece of artwork – it’s uniquely personal, deeply emotional and undoubtedly exciting.” – Stephan Winkelman

Unfortunately, the world will only see 1 499 units emerge from Lamborghini’s production lines. Production is scheduled to start in February next year.
