Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has launched the Huracan Tecnica supercar in India.
The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is priced at Rs 4.04 crore (ex-showroom) and its launch in India comes just four months after the latest rear-wheel drive version of Lambo’s most popular supercar made its global debut.
Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica Specs & Dimensions
The Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica is powered by the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that is found in the bonkers STO model. The 90-degree V10 engine pushes out 631bhp at 8,000rpm and 565Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. All of this sent to the rear wheels by a 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.
The powerful V10 engine propels the rear-wheel drive Huracan Tecnica from 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The Tecnica can sprint from 0-200km/h in 9.1 seconds and will continue accelerating till it tops out at 325km/h.
Lamborghini states that the new Tecnica sits between the EVO S and the STO and offers the best of both worlds. Like the STO and the EVO S, the Tecnica features three driving modes – Strada, Sport and Corsa which have been tweaked for the new supercar’s aero and chassis setup.
To ensure the Huracan Tecnica comes to a halt in double quick time, Lamborghini has fitted the supercar with ventilated and cross-drilled carbon ceramic discs. The front brakes measure 380mm and feature 6 piston callipers while the rear brakes are 325mm in diameter and sport four 4-piston callipers and combined together with ABS help bring the Tecnica to a halt from 100km/h in just 31.5 metres.
The carbon brakes sit behind new 20-inch alloy wheels shod with Bridgestone Potenza Sport 245/30 R20 (front) and 305/30 R20 (rear) tyres.
Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica Design
Lamborghini has updated the Huracan’s design for the new Tecnica model with the new supercar taking inspiration from the bonkers Terzo Millenio concept and the mad Essenza SCV12.
The front bumper’s black Ypsilon design is taken from the Terzo Millenio while the silhouette of the new Huracan Tecnica is definitely inspired by the track only Essenza SCV12. At the rear, the Tecnica features a fixed rear wing which adds 35 per cent more downforce compared to Huracan EVO RWD.
Speaking at the launch of the new Huracan Tecnica, Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India, said, “Bringing new models faster to local market has been a key pillar for our growth in India and we are excited to unveil the Huracán Tecnica in India today. The lightweight Tecnica’s recalibrated LDVI system and distinctly tuned driving modes with specific suspension set-up, rear-wheel direct steering, and innovative brake cooling improvements allow the driver to experience the perfect Huracán for every occasion. We are delighted to bring the Tecnica, an emotionally versatile super sports for road and track to our clients and enthusiasts in India.”
