Kia Sonet X Line SUV has been teased again with the caption “Coming Soon”, hinting the model is likely to be launched ahead of the upcoming festive season in India. Moreover, the latest teaser reveals the rear portion of the upcoming Kia Sonet X Line SUV.
Earlier, Kia released a teaser image of the Sonet X Line SUV. However, the previous teaser image barely revealed the front portion of the SUV. However, it was confirmed that the upcoming Kia Sonet X Line will feature a very sporty-looking matte paint finish.
It is also worth mentioning that the upcoming Kia Sonett X Line SUV will feature sportier design elements on both the outside and inside of the upcoming Kia Sonet SUV along with a few additional features as well.
For reference, the upcoming Kia Sonet X Line may also sport additional features as the X Line variants are comparable to the N-Line variant introduced in the Hyundai model range.
We expect the upcoming Kia Sonet x-Line SUV model range to further boost the sales of the sub-4m SUV in India. Moreover, like the new Hyundai Venue N-Line SUV, we expect the Sonet X Line to be offered in two trim levels.
Moreover, the top-end trim of the upcoming Kia Sonet X Line is likely to be based on the top-spec GTX-Plus trim level. Since Kia is yet to reveal the details on the upcoming Kia Sonet X Line, we are not sure about the colour options that will be available on the model as part of the X Line model range. However, it is safe to expect sporty colour options and a blacked-out roof as part of this iteration.
The Kia Sonet X Line is likely to sport a few minor cosmetic upgrades over the standard Kia Sonet HTX variant. However, most of these changes will be limited to the exterior and the interior of the new Kia Sonet X Line.
We expect the upcoming Kia Sonet X Line to sport features such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, digital instrument cluster, Cruise Control, rear AC vents, power adjustable rear view mirror, keyless entry, engine Start/Stop button, multi-function steering wheel and many more.
In addition to that, Kia Sonet X-Line is also expected to come with safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability control (ESC), auto headlamps, brake assist, rear parking camera, rear parking sensors and a few more.
Though the Kia Sonet SUV model range comes with multiple engine options, the Kia Sonet X-Line will be powered by the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 118bhp of peak power and 172Nm of peak torque. Moreover, this engine is likely to come with the quick-shifting 7-speed DCT gearbox as the sole transmission option.
At present, the Kia Sonet SUV sales figures have been decent but not the segment best. That being said, the Sia Sonet SUV is still one of the best-selling models in the country, racking up consistent MoM sales figures for the South Korean automaker.
Now with the launch of the Kia Sonet X-Line SUV, Kia could further improve the sales figures and also maximize the sales push achieved during the upcoming festive season.
Despite being a new brand in India, the Indian consumers have been very welcoming to the South Korean car manufacturer and the brand achieved the 1 lakh sales milestone within just nine months of its operations.
Thoughts About Upcoming Kia Sonet X Line
The new Kia Sonet X Line adds a lot of styling cues to the already stylish Kia Sonet SUV. Moreover, the launch of the Kia Sonet X Line SUV will further boost the sales of the South Korean automaker by a decent margin.
