The automaker has been driving its hypercar around Miami and SoCal.
Hypercar manufacturer Czinger has been parading its 21C hypercar on the streets of America, with a couple of recent videos showing the beastly machine cruising through Miami and Southern California. As exotic as the name sounds, Czinger is an American company with its base in Los Angeles, so why not take advantage of the scenery with a couple of short videos?
The video highlights several design details, showing off the 3D-printed construction of parts like the dashboard and exhaust tip, the latter of which was designed specifically for the purpose of spitting out X-shaped flames on overrun.
Naturally, a car as dramatic as this is motivated by a dramatic power plant.
A 2.88-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V8 with an almost unheard of redline of 11,000 rpm is paired with a pair of electric motors to produce a total of 1,250 horsepower, with a higher-output 1,350-hp setup optional. That makes it a hybrid, much like the McLaren Artura, which shares a component supplier with Czinger as of December last year.
As a result, the 21C smashed the Laguna Seca lap record with a time of 1:25.44 back in 2021. But that's just the start for the automaker, which hopes to revolutionize the automotive manufacturing industry with its novel application of 3D printing technology. The company believes its progress and innovation are akin to that of the great Henry Ford, reports Top Gear.
But clever manufacturing technology does not steal headlines, so Czinger is also working on a high-speed version of the 21C. In August last year, the 21C V Max was revealed as a low-drag longtail with a claimed top speed of 253 mph, down somewhat from the original target of 281 mph but darn fast nonetheless.
If that doesn't tickle your fancy, Czinger is also developing the Hyper GT, a four-door grand tourer with hypercar-like performance and gullwing doors. Since the company is locally based, SoCal residents will soon spot this testing on the roads.
