Kawasaki has revealed the all-new Eliminator 400, and this new cruiser motorcycle marks the return of the ‘Eliminator’ moniker after more than a decade. Moreover, the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 is available in two variants – Standard and SE.
Starting with the powertrain, the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 uses the same 399cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine as the Kawasaki Ninja 400, albeit in a different tune. As a result, this engine now puts out 48bhp of peak power and 37Nm of peak torque.
This makes the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 slightly more powerful than the Kawasaki Ninja 400, which is quite unique for a cruiser-style motorcycle as they tend to tune the engine for better low-end torque, resulting in reduced peak power output.
What is even more unique is that the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 motorcycle comes with a 12-litre fuel tank, which is almost 5 litres less than the fuel tank capacity of the Kawasaki Ninja 400m motorcycle.
In addition to that, the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 motorcycle weighs 8 kilograms heavier than a Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle at 176 kilograms despite sporting an advanced trellis frame setup.
That being said, Kawasaki has equipped the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 motorcycle with a large 310mm disc brake at the front, a 240mm disc brake at the rear and a dual-channel ABS unit.
In terms of features, the Kawasaki Eliminator 400 comes with full LED lighting, digital instrument cluster, telescopic front suspension, and twin rear shock absorbers. It is also worth mentioning that the top-spec SE variant of the Kawasaki Eliminator 400 comes with front and rear cameras.
These front and rear cameras on the top-spec Kawasaki Eliminator 400 motorcycle act as dashcams. Furthermore, this variant also comes with a small bikini fairing and fork gaiters as well.
At present, the new Kawasaki Eliminator 400 motorcycle will be sold only in Japan and the standard variant of the motorcycle is priced at ¥ 7,59,000 (approx Rs 4.71 lakh). On the other hand, the top-spec SE variant is priced at ¥ 8,58,000 (approx 5.33 lakh).
