

The Mercedes-Benz GLB and EQB will be imported from Mexico via the CBU route.
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the GLB and its all-electric version, the EQB in India. Both models will be imported from Mexico as CBUs.
Pre-bookings for new SUVs are already open, and customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs 1.5 lakh. Prices will be announced on December 2, 2022.
The Mercedes-Benz GLB is a compact 7-seater SUV that is often referred to as the “mini GLS”. It will be offered in three variants – 220d 4Matic, 220d and 200.
The 220d variants are powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 188 BHP and 400 Nm. The GLB 200 comes with a 1.3-litre petrol engine that puts out 161 BHP and 250 Nm. Both engines come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will be available on the top-spec diesel trim.
The EQB is the all-electric version of the GLB. In India, Mercedes will offer the EQB 250 variant. The SUV uses a single electric motor that generates 188 BHP and 385 Nm. It is powered by a 66.5 kWh battery pack allowing the car to cover 330 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).
