The new Honda Hawk 11 competes with the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RR.
Honda has taken the wraps off its latest neo-retro cafe racer motorcycle, the Hawk 11 at the 2022 Osaka Motorcycle Show.
In terms of design, the new Hawk 11 carries forward the round headlights integrated with the racing cowl. The motorcycle also comes with clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, muscular fuel tanks, long exhaust and a single-piece seat. There is also plenty of chrome bits all around the motorcycle. It also features an LCD instrument cluster with multiple ride modes.
The new Honda Hawk 11 Cafe Racer is based on the same platform as the brand’s Africa Twin. It even borrows the same engine as well as the steel cradle chassis design. The engine comes in the form of a 1083cc parallel-twin unit, which on the Africa Twin produces 101 BHP and 104 Nm. Honda is yet to announce the power figures of the engine on the Hawk 11, although it is expected to be in the same ballpark. The Hawk 11 Cafe Racer will carry forward the 6-speed manual gearbox, with the optional DCT option as well.
In terms of mechanicals, the Hawk 11 uses USD forks at the front and a mono-shock suspension setup at the rear. Braking is handled by twin discs up front and a single rear disc at the back, both with NISSIN calipers.
The new Honda Hawk 11 competes against the likes of the Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RR and the MV Agusta Superveloce.
