This one-of-a-kind 993 was built for a lucky connoisseur in the United Kingdom.
California-based Porsche specialist Gunther Werks has revealed a breathtaking Porsche 911 (993) restomod at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Dubbed “Bubblegum,” this one-of-one creation was built for a special client in the United Kingdom. The name refers to the stunning paintwork, which is a bespoke three-stage Pink pearlescent shade with an ultra-fine metallic tinge. It's certainly unusual, but there's no denying this Porsche pulls the color off beautifully – some cars can get away with it, others not so much.
An exposed strip of carbon fiber runs across the center of the car, providing a break from the bright paint. The company says this one-of-a-kind commission celebrates its official debut in various European markets and the United Kingdom. For the first time ever, a turbocharged production model will also be displayed outside of the USA.

Sadly, Gunther Werks hasn't shared any additional information, but the previous sentence suggests that Bubblegum gains motivation from a turbocharged engine. If that's the case, there may very well be a force-fed 4.0-liter flat-six engine with as much as 700 horsepower on tap.
Last year, the firm unveiled Project Tornado, another 993-based restomod with the same power figures mentioned above. However, this is only available to the driver when Track Mode is engaged. The rest of the time, you'll have to make do with 600 hp.
Based on the images, we can see that this pink-painted beauty has a manual transmission. Previous models utilize a six-speed gearbox, so we assume that is the case here. Naturally, power is sent to the rear wheels, which have been wrapped in some seriously thick tires.

Inside, it's a symphony of carbon fiber, black Alcantara, and pink detailing. The supportive-looking seats feature a carbon fiber base, and the lightweight material extends to the door cards, trim inlays, and even the Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel.
It's subtle, but pink stitching can be found on the seats, shift boot, handbrake, steering wheel, and several other places, tying the exterior and interior nicely. The gear knob looks like it's been hewn from a single piece of metal and adds just the right amount of brightwork to the interior.
As you would expect, the instrumentation is easy to read and beautifully simple, with a white face for the tachometer. The rest of the dials make do with a white-on-black design. Putting aside the controversial color for a moment, there's no denying this is an exquisite creation from the geniuses at Gunther Werks. We hope to learn more about this one-of-one creation soon.
