The luxury brand announced today they will be adding a product called Genesis Cares to its folio of At Home customer services. This is a new support initiative intended to provide extra peace of mind during these uncertain times to both new and existing owners of Genesis vehicles.
For current customers who are financing a vehicle from the brand, Genesis and select banking partners are offering up to three months of payment deferrals based on each individual’s needs. Existing lease patrons can receive a single month’s worth of payment deferral and the option to extend the contract’s maturity date in situations where the customer is in self-isolation. The latter arrangement can stretch the end-of-term date between 30 days and three months, again depending on the situation.
Those seeking to finance a new Genesis vehicle through the brand’s select banking partners will have the opportunity to take advantage of a six-month payment deferral. That offer is valid on all models for a limited time. Note well: payment deferral isn’t the same as payment waiver.
Through the company’s website, new customers can complete an entire buying experience online, from browsing the models to finalizing a purchase. Genesis likes to tout its no-haggle pricing and an all-inclusive ownership experience, two features which help facilitate the ease of determining an out-the-door price. The latter is a rather sweet deal as it includes complimentary scheduled maintenance, at-home valet pickup/drop-off for service, and complimentary courtesy vehicle service for 5 years or 100,000 kilometres.
Thanks to the online portal, customers can configure a vehicle, have their trade-in appraised, and complete a credit application from their home. They may even schedule their new vehicle for at-home delivery. In light of recent social distancing directives, this service suddenly looks quite appealing and, by doing so, Genesis claims they are the only Canadian automotive brand to offer a fully online purchase experience.
Thanks to what the company calls a “national centralized inventory”, Genesis is capable of facilitating the delivery of a new vehicle within a matter of weeks. This timeline understandably excludes the snazzy new GV80 SUV since it’s, y’know, not on sale yet. That rig will appear in the second half of 2020).
Genesis has been on a bit of a product tear in recent months, showing off natty refreshes of their G80 and G90 sedans plus the aforementioned new GV80 SUV. As the company pivots towards more expressive styling that seems to be appealing to the right people, it’s understandable why suits at other luxury car brands are finally starting to sit up and take notice of Genesis and their customer service efforts that stretch well beyond the showroom.
