Knight International are delighted to offer a physical RHD McLaren Senna with over £100,000 worth of options
The McLaren Senna is a massively high-performance car with a great name. And McLaren is limiting production to just 500. Of course, they’ve been sold out since probably before the car was even announced. If you still want one, though, and if you can afford it, there’s one up for offer right now.
The Senna is a 720S-based model that uses a modified version of that car’s carbon fibre chassis as well as its V8 engine.
The carbon monocoque gets carbon bodywork, meaning that the car tips the scales at just 1,198 kg. Less than most compact hatchbacks. The aerodynamic body panels and massive wings let the car produce 800 kg, an equally impressive figure. Of course, it only hits that at speeds you’ll only ever see on the track.
The dry-sumped twin-turbo V8 is equally astonishing. 789 hp and 590 lb-ft, with that torque figure hit over a plateau from 5,500 to 6,700 rpm. No ultra-peaky hypercar here.
This one is for sale through Knight International, a broker of exotic cars operating in four countries around the world. And it’s not just a build slot for a car. That means a chance to buy one later. Those are already trading hands for big bucks. This is a real Senna, sitting at the showroom, ready to pick up and drive home. You would drive it home, right?
It’s a right-hand drive car. The seller says it’s been fitted with more than £100,000 worth of options from the McLaren Special Operations catalogue. We’re not sure what they are, but $171,000 worth of options have to be pretty special. Right?
The listing also says zero miles on the odometer, though it probably has a couple of ticks from being moved from factory to showroom floor. It’s specced out in what looks to be a nearly black dark blue with some wonderful yellow accents. The green skirts and wheel hubs are an interesting choice, but the overall scheme could be a very subtle tribute to the colours of Senna’s home of Brazil.
How much will having an early Senna now cost you? Well, the cars retailed for somewhere around $1.3 million new. Add about 200k in options and you’re looking at a $1.5 million car. It’s used, so like half that. Right? Nope. It’s on offer for £1,250,000. That’s $2.1 million.
Hopefully the new buyer will enjoy it, and not just flip it again after six months in a garage.
