Fisker has now presented its Ocean electric SUV in Europe for the first time at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. With the European premiere, the first final euro prices for the Ocean are also known.
When Fisker presented the series design of the Ocean at the LA Auto Show in November 2021, there was already information about the US prices: These start at $37,499 before subsidies for the entry-level model with front-wheel drive and LFP battery. The Ultra (from $49,999) and Extreme (from $68,999) versions each feature twin-motor all-wheel drive and CATL cells with NMC chemistry.
Pricing for the base Ocean Sport version, with an estimated WLTP range of 440 kilometres, will start at 41,900 euros (including VAT, excluding subsidies) in Spain. The Fisker Ocean Extreme is expected to make it 630 kilometres WLTP range. Fisker is not yet giving prices for the all-wheel-drive versions in Spain or other EU countries.
However, there is an update on the timing: Fisker is currently producing around 50 prototypes of the Ocean before series production is scheduled to start at Magna in Graz on November 17, 2022. Deliveries of the Ocean are to begin in the U.S. and “selected European and Scandinavian countries” “shortly after the start of production in November.

For the German market, Fisker announced a price “of less than 32,000 euros including taxes and EV-related subsidies” in an earlier announcement. With an environmental bonus of 9,570 euros gross, that would correspond to a price of less than 41,570 euros. However, Fisker will probably not be able to maintain the end customer price of less than 32,000 euros for long: As is well known, in Germany the environmental bonus in its current form is limited until December 31, 2022. The subsidy amount for 2023 is not yet known.
“With the Fisker Ocean’s combination of performance, value, and sustainability, I believe we have a unique electric vehicle with industry-first features, such as California mode, a 17.1-inch rotating screen, and the longest range in our segment,” said company founder and CEO Henrik Fisker at the European premiere at MWC. Europe is “critical to the success of the company,” he adds.
