On Thursday, movie publicists released the first official images from the upcoming movie Ferrari, and if there’s one takeaway, Adam Driver definitely looks the part. The Academy Award nominee stars in the movie as legendary racer and car company founder Enzo Ferrari.

The movie, which is set in the summer of 1957, is said to revolve around Ferrari’s go-for-broke effort at what turned out to be a tragic 1,000-mile Mille Miglia road race in Italy.
Along with Driver, the movie stars Academy Award winner Penelope Cruz as wife Laura Ferrari, Shailene Woodley as Lina Lardi, real-life racer and actor Patrick Dempsey in the role of racer Piero Taruffi, Jack O’Connell as racer Peter Collins, Sara Gadon as Linda Christian and Gabriel Leone as Fon De Portago.
The movie is based on the book, Enzo Ferrari — The Man and the Machine, and is being filmed on location and is set for a late 2023 release by STX Entertainment.
