Keeping your car on the road is becoming easier with the addition of pre-warning systems that can alert you if there is something wrong. If you happen to see an alert about your tyre pressures it's best to sort it out quickly, but what should the tyre pressures be? We find out
Jolion S under pressure
Haval has made great strides locally with the H series SUVs and crossovers, but it is the Jolion that has captured the hearts of South Africans. The Jolion blitzed the sales charts and on that success, they also released a sports version, the Jolion S.
The Jolion S has a stylish and aggressive look and is equipped with 18″ blacked-out wheels, along with the sporty wheels the Jolion S also has a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) that will tell you if one of your wheels has gone flat. If the system throws up an error message or warning, you will need to address the issue which would include re-airing the tyre and you will need to know what the recommended tyre pressure is.
Pump it up
The Haval Jolion requires a tyre pressure of 2.4 – 2.5 bar. This information can be found in the owner’s manual or on the info card inside the driver’s side door jamb.
This allows what was already a snappy little crossover to step into a realm where launch control is a standard fitment feature and a new generation 1.5 turbo engine that puts out 130kw and 270Nm now propels the Jolion S toward the horizon at a prod of the accelerator
