After locking in May 10 for its on-sale date in an announcement last week, Ford Australia has finally confirmed pricing for the Mustang Mach-E on the day order books open.
The base model rear-wheel drive Mustang Mach-E Select will start from $79,990 before on-road costs as a 198kW/430Nm offering with a 71kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery for 470km of claimed driving range.
It comes with plenty of standard kit shared with the rest of the Mach-E range, such as a 15.5-inch multimedia touchscreen with Ford’s Sync 4A software, a B&O 10-speaker sound system, wireless smartphone charger and a surround-view parking camera.
Like the mid-spec Premium variant, the Select is upholstered in Sensico synthetic leather, with power adjustable front seats and a panoramic glass sunroof.
The Premium starts from $92,990 and is set to offer 216kW and 430Nm (sent to the rear wheels like the Select), though a 91kWh LFP battery provides a claimed 600km electric driving range.
LED headlights, scuff plates in the door jambs, red leather stitching inside and multi-colour ambient lighting is added on top of the standard Mach-E features.
The top of the range is the AWD Mustang Mach-E GT, coming in at $108,990.
With 358kW and 860Nm, it’s the quickest of the three, with Ford claiming a 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.7 seconds – as long as you allow for a launch rollout of one foot.
It also comes with a 91kWh battery, and its range will be lower than the Premium at 490km.
The GT gains Ford’s MagneRide adaptive dampers, as well as a driving mode called Untame Plus for track driving. The performance-bent model also comes with a set of 20-inch alloys wrapped in Pirelli tyres, hiding a set of Brembo brakes up front.
“We’ve had a brilliant response to Mustang Mach-E since we confirmed it for Australia a few weeks ago, and can’t wait to give customers the chance to get behind the wheel later this year,” said Andrew Birkic, President and CEO of Ford Australia and New Zealand.
Ford hasn’t specified arrival timing beyond being “late this year”, though the Mustang Mach-E is available to order today.
