The Swedish carmaker is making a push towards full electric and sustainability, having that they will produce only electric vehicles by 2030. Federal Auto Cars echoes the same sentiments and is encouraging customers to try out the all-electric at any of their dealerships.

Performance from the dual-motor setup making 408 PS/660 Nm is stout to say the least. In fact, it’s the currently the second most powerful EV in Malaysia. Its 78 kWh battery allows for up to 450 km driving range on a WLTP cycle.

Also, the same capacity battery gives the C40 an additional range of 12 km compared to the XC40 EV. This is down to the greater aerodynamic properties of the C40 from the sloping roofline. And unlike the XC40, there’s no guessing which powertrain it has, the C40 is an electric-only model.
Inside, the C40 mirrors the XC40 EV for the most part except the glass panoramic roof, giving the cabin an airier ambience.
Goodies like the power-operated hands-free tailgate, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment display that runs on Android Automotive OS with Google services integration, and Harman Kardon speakers are present.
Its highlight is, of course, the restyled profile with the coupe roofline. There’s a subtle spoiler and its taillamp graphics are more prominent, stretching further horizontally to the centre of the car.
The Volvo C40 is available in five colours – Crystal White, Black Stone, Silver Dawn, Sage Green and Fjord Blue.
