What’s it like to drive?
Reviewer’s opinion
In enthusiastic driving, the steering wheel clearly telegraphs the state of grip under the front tyres, while well-controlled body motions and weight transfer through corners deliver a massive boost to the driver’s confidence. In fact, this Hyper-SUV might just be the easiest one of its kind to drive really fast, and somehow manages to skip the top-heavy and nose-led sensations that are prevalent in this class. Whoever tuned the Trofeo’s chassis dynamics deserves a prize for so blatantly ignoring the laws of physics.

What is the Maserati Levante like inside?
As can be expected from a premium manufacturer such as Maserati, the Levante, even in the entry-point trim GT, comes with a lot of leather trim and soft-touch surfaces. The Italian marque also incorporates shapely stitching on the dashboard, door cards and seats which should you opt for the GT Hybrid variant comes in contrasting blue. The cabin is spacious and very quiet during operation and the seats are both comfortable but also offer support under more enthusiastic driving conditions.
Style
Although the Levante takes on an SUV shape, a very common body style internationally, it sets itself apart through very unique design cues. Upfront customers will note the large Maserati grille with a dominating trident emblem fitted centrally. Flanking the grille are two thinly shaped and aggressive-looking headlamps with built-in daytime running lights. Depending on the derivative selected the front bumper will change in design from a more elegant design on the GT variants to a more aggressive style on the Trofeo. After the recent updates applied the rear of the Levante offers a new style with new taillamp designs as well as a tailgate update. On the sides, the Italian automaker incorporates the signature three vents in the fenders which are garnished with blue inserts on Hybrid variants and red inserts on the Trofeo trim.
