In this article:
Is the Jaguar E-Pace a good car?
If you are looking for more space, the F-Pace might suit your needs better. However, the E-Pace is a capable and well-specified option for those looking in this segment.
Who is the Jaguar E-Pace a good car for?
The Jaguar E-Pace is a good car for individuals that want the comfort and luxury associated with the Jaguar brand but also the ability to tackle light off-roading conditions when the need arises.
Is the Jaguar E-Pace a good first car?
Although the Jaguar E-Pace is large enough to accommodate five occupants comfortably, it remains compact enough for first-time vehicle owners to get accustomed to the dimensions quickly. The model also offers a host of driver assistance systems that will make the tasks of parking and driving easy for anyone.
Is the Jaguar E-Pace a good family car?
While the model provides ample space for five occupants, the model is best suited for young families with one or two infants. As can be expected with such a premium marque, the E-Pace comes standard with a vast array of safety systems that will keep families safe and put the driver at ease.

What’s it like to drive?
Reviewer’s opinion
Programming on the 9-speed gearbox is lazy though, and if driven in normal automatic mode, there is a lot of lag between pedal input and engine response. This leads to some frustration when attempting to cross traffic or overtake. Sadly, even after flipping the transmission over to Sports mode and the car’s other settings to Dynamic Mode, the lag persists – albeit to a lesser degree, though often leading to higher engine revs and the accompanying clattery diesel engine note.

What is the Jaguar E-Pace like inside?
Customers of the Jaguar E-Pace won’t be left wanting more when it comes to interior finishes. The British automaker employs luxurious leathers throughout the cabin for a high-quality and comfortable experience. Although the larger F-Pace models see a variety of additional technologies offered such as a secondary touch display, the 11.4-inch, high-definition touchscreen that provides access to the Pivi Pro infotainment technology proves to be more than ample.
Style
Many of the exterior styling cues are shared with the E-Pace’s larger sibling, the F-Pace. The E-Pace, while being a crossover model, offer sharp and sporty angles such as found with the C-pillar which gives the model a more performance-oriented design. The latest updates to the range also give it a more premium feel such as the new ‘Double J’ LED daytime running lights. The latest iterations also have new mesh inserts with the rear bumper and a new grille finish upfront. Fitted with the optional black exterior pack, many elements, including the moniker at the rear are finished in a darkened hue for a sportier appearance.
