Today, Zeekr officially announced that its new mid-to-large-size SUV has been named the Zeekr 8X, and released a new teaser video for the vehicle. Zeekr 8X Spy Shots Combining the spy shots from the teaser and leaked real-world photos of the 8X, the general design details of the new car are now largely visible. Positioned as a super hybrid high-performance flagship SUV, the Zeekr 8X features a squared-off overall shape. The front end adopts the vertical waterfall grille and matrix headlights from the Zeekr 9X, giving it a bold and substantial presence. The side profile presents a sporty, streamlined silhouette with conventional door handles, glossy black wheels, and red brake calipers, contributing to a certain sporty feel. At the rear, the design is more rounded. The upper part of the taillights is a full-width light bar, while the lower part uses a split design, which differs from the Zeekr 9X. Based on the test vehicle, the Zeekr 8X’s steering wheel features a center marker and a dial for switching driving modes, similar to the design of the Zeekr 001 FR’s steering wheel. The center console is equipped with a large-sized central touchscreen, and the center armrest area adopts a dual-armrest design. Furthermore, the new car will feature a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, and it is also possible that a spacious five-seat version will be offered to meet the needs of different families. Based on this latter pricing strategy, upon its launch, the Zeekr 8X will directly compete with the Nio ES8, Aito M7/M8, and Li L8. Data shows that from January to December 2025, Zeekr’s cumulative annual sales exceeded 224,000 vehicles. In December just past, the Zeekr brand delivered 30,267 vehicles in a single month, a year-on-year increase of 11.3%.
