Both projects target a top-tier domestic automaker and have entered mass production simultaneously.Image Credit: XunBo TechnologyThe newly mass-produced components are Continuous Damping Control (CDC) solenoid valves for shock absorbers. Serving as the core control element in adjustable dampers, these valves regulate oil flow and aperture to alter damping characteristics—directly influencing vehicle handling stability and ride comfort. The parallel production runs signal a step up in XunBo's capacity to deliver CDC solenoid valves at scale. The two projects began initial engagement in the summer of 2025. XunBo secured the contracts after submitting samples and assisting the client with damper and vehicle performance verification. Official development kicked off in early 2026, during which the company completed Design Verification (DV) and Production Verification (PV), while collaborating on vehicle tuning and optimization.Regarding the production process, XunBo noted that its assembly line features over 120 hardware-based error-proofing points covering material control, operations, and performance testing. Additionally, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) assigns a unique traceability code to each unit, enabling real-time monitoring of process parameters and full traceability. The line also employs a pilot-stage flow adjustment process to calibrate the flow rate of every single product.Historically, CDC damper systems were dominated by foreign suppliers, but Chinese manufacturers have been steadily increasing their share of core components like solenoid valves in recent years. Headquartered in Shanghai with a production base in Changzhou, XunBo Technology specializes in chassis-related parts, including automotive solenoid valves.
