First and foremost, we're taking a look at the biggest deals on the top dash cams we've tested from Garmin, Cobra, and more.We should mention that Prime Big Deal Days (PBDD) include sales on just about everything. You'll be able to save on beauty products, toys, seasonal items, and even appliances. That's all well and good, but you're here reading MotorTrend, so here are the best early PBDD savings we could find on dash cams.Disclaimer alert: Pricing can shift without warning, because of course it does, and you'll need to be an Amazon Prime member to get in on the deals. Priced the same as the Garmin Live cam, it presents a very different feature set, prioritizing performance over connectivity. In the daylight, it has the fidelity to reach 65 feet to capture license plates. Performance is fantastic, but it's important to note it's also a well-designed product with a 2.41-inch touchscreen on the back to interact with. If that's too difficult, there's also an available Garmin app that can control the camera's functions. The X310 is currently selling for 8 percent off list price at $370.MotorTrendRove R2-4K Dual Pro Dash CamRove's R2 performed well enough to earn our Best Night Performance accolade. And there's a very good reason for that: Under the hood, it uses Sony's STARVIS 2 image sensor, tailor-made to see in the dark. Not perfect, of course, but it was one of the best contenders we tested, able to snipe license plates from 30 feet out—in the dark. The R2 is currently selling for 29 percent off list price at $249.99.MotorTrendNextbase 622GW Dash CamSure, the Nextbase wasn't the best dash cam in our test. In fact, it wasn't even good enough to earn an accolade. And yet, that doesn't make it an inherently bad product. In our testing, it could still reach out to 55 feet in the daylight and record crisp 4K 30-fps footage. The real challenges we had with the 622GW involved the user interface and marginally slower setup times. The 622 GW is currently on sale for 38 percent below its list price at $249.99.MotorTrendCobra SC220C Dash CamCobra made a name for itself decades ago as a pre-eminent designer and builder of radar detectors. We only recently found out it's also pretty good at manufacturing dash cams. We found the SC220C best for Uber drivers, with its baked-in front-facing camera—which includes night vision capability. It might have won our Best for Uber Drivers accolade, but we're betting it will be equally effective for just about anyone. Cobra's SC220C is currently available for 25 percent below its list price at $149.95.
