Gasgoo Munich- Seyond and CORNEX signed a strategic cooperation agreement on September 9 to jointly develop advanced smart driving solutions. The partnership will combine Seyond's spatial perception technologies with CORNEX's vehicle development and manufacturing capabilities. Vehicles covered by the agreement will use Seyond products as their primary forward-facing LiDAR sensors.Image source: SeyondSeyond has developed three LiDAR product platforms—Falcon, Robin and Hummingbird—covering applications ranging from ultra-long-range detection to near-field blind-spot monitoring. The portfolio is designed for both premium flagship vehicles and higher-volume mainstream models.By the end of 2025, Seyond had secured nominations from 18 automakers and ADAS or ADS companies, covering more than 60 vehicle models. Shipments of its ADAS products reached 416,300 units in the first half of 2026, up 346.0% year over year. The company said it has established engineering, series-production and quality-control capabilities for combined driver-assistance applications.CORNEX has established a closed-loop vehicle development system supported by coordination across the automotive supply chain. Its partnership with Seyond forms part of an effort to strengthen its advanced driving technology capabilities.Under the agreement, Seyond will provide CORNEX with primary forward-facing LiDAR sensors and supporting solutions. The system is designed to provide long-range, high-precision and stable three-dimensional environmental perception for functions including obstacle detection, distance measurement and traffic-condition prediction on urban roads and highways. The companies also plan to explore longer-term cooperation in joint technology development, integrated supply chain management and market development.
