This marked an increase of 7.3 percentage points compared with the same period last year. Breaking down the figures, SAIC Passenger Vehicles delivered 77,000 units, up 53.8% year-on-year. New energy vehicles represented another key growth trajectory. In January, SAIC sold 85,000 NEVs, up 39.7% year-on-year, placing the group among the industry’s leading players by volume. Among them, IM Motors, SAIC’s joint brand with Huawei, recorded monthly sales of 5,017 units, up 66% year-on-year. IM LS6 SAIC Passenger Vehicles sold 28,000 NEVs, posting a sharp year-on-year increase of 576.9%. SAIC Maxus delivered 4,000 NEVs, up 24.6%, while SAIC-GM sold 6,000 NEVs, surging 316.1% year-on-year. SAIC-GM-Wuling sold 36,000 NEVs, continuing to leverage its scale advantage in the entry-level segment. Overseas markets also continued to accelerate. In January, SAIC’s overseas sales reached 105,000 units, up 51.7% year-on-year, keeping the group among the leading Chinese automakers in global markets. As the core overseas brand, MG maintained strong momentum. In December last year, MG ranked second in monthly sales in the UK market. In January, deliveries in Europe approached 26,000 units, up around 15% year-on-year. This performance extended MG’s position as the top-selling Chinese independent brand in Europe for 11 consecutive years.
